$10,000 Reward Offered For Information In Shooting That Wounded Real Estate Mogul

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A reward was announced Monday for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for shooting and wounding a real estate businessman.

William Holdings, the property management and acquisition company Kameron Segal works with, is offering the $10,000 reward following the Jan. 16 shooting in Hollywood.

Police said Segal was seated in his new Rolls-Royce that was parked in a lot on Gardner Street and Sunset Boulevard Friday night when he was shot twice.

Segal was taken to the hospital where he remains in stable condition.

Authorities said the suspected shooter fled on a bicycle. A motive for the shooting remains unclear, police said.

"The violence and the pain that he must be going through has not sunk in. That's something I can never imagine," Mytchell Mora, Segal's friend, said.

Mora said Segal, although a successful businessman, is best known to him as a philanthropist. In 2013, Segal and his company donated six months of free rent to a homeless woman.

"I never heard him say 'No' to anyone and that's just the type of person he is," Mora said of Segal.

Meanwhile, Mora said he hopes the reward inspires someone to do the right thing.
