Ah New Year's Day, the day we're supposed to start fulfilling all of our brand new resolutions.

Instead of making the same old promise to lose weight, drink less and to call your mom more, change it up a bit this year and resolve to enjoy yourself.

Donut Friend is one of the newest and most unique spots to hit LA's breakfast scene. Why is it so unique you might ask? Well, instead of just being an awesome donut shop that serves scrumptious signature combinations of flavors, it also has a design your own donut section. We know- it's a mind blowing concept. What this means is that you can not only get an awesome pre-made donut like the Fudgegazi or Caramel Assault, but if there's nothing you're in the mood for, you can simply describe your dream donut and it will magically appear, right before your very eyes.

What makes this special place even more special-er is that if you order a dozen donuts, you also get a box of donut holes with dipping sauce fo' free. And they also have really tasty treats like Apple Fritters, a Minus Bear Claw, a Jimmy Eat Swirl (a cinnamon roll made donut style) and ice-cream, um yum.

Sounds like pretty sweet start to 2015.
