The Laguna Art Museum celebrates an array of art work by California artists. In addition to displaying over 3,500 pieces of art, the museum also showcases traveling exhibits. Currently, the work of 93-year-old acclaimed painter Wayne Thiebaud is being presented in an installation called "American Memories" in which Thiebaud shows some of the art he created during his lifetime. The autobiographical series takes an introspective look into the California native's professional and personal life. Additionally, the current installation "Frank Cuprien: Pacific Views 1914-1938" features Cuprien's stunning paintings created at his home overlooking Laguna Beach. Located in the Santa Ana Artists Village, the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art is nestled in an area inspired by creativity and culture. The current installation is titled "Body Language" and illustrates the human body transformed into unusual figures and in juxtaposition with the environment. The upcoming exhibit "Happy Medium" will be showcased June 7-28 and explores the human condition in modern times. The questions, "Can a 'happy medium' be attained in life?" and "Will the endless pursuit of 'more' remain the status quo?" will be highlighted.
