Brunch is good. It's breakfast and lunch all rolled into one delicious meal, and it usually starts in the late morning so you can sleep in before you get your meal. Whether you want a little hair of the dog that bit you or you just want a reason to drink before the socially acceptable time of 5pm, these are the best places to get some booze with your brunch.

If you're going to kick off your day with brunch that includes alcohol, Newport Beach is a pretty good place to do it. The Alley offers bottomless champagne for $10 to go with its brunch entrees. You can also choose mimosas or champagne with hibiscus. If champagne is just not your bag, you can also get a bloody mary. Brunch entrees include eggs Benedict, French toast and corned beef hash, among others. Brunch at The Alley is served on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 3pm.

This great brunch spot is tucked in the corner of a shopping center in Costa Mesa, and it would be really easy to miss. However, when you arrive, you'll find some beverages that go far beyond champagne (although you will find mimosas on the brunch menu). Plums boasts a spicy bloody mary, but in addition to that standard cocktail, you can also find vodka cocktails with cucumber and mint, blood orange juice and fresh berries. If you're not a fan of vodka, fear not. You can also order a blackberry margarita with your brunch here.

Cha Cha's offers a prix fixe champagne brunch special every Sunday from 11:30am to 2:30pm One glass of champagne is included with the menu of chips and salsa, soup or salad and your choice of one of the brunch entrees. For an additional $6, you can add bottomless mimosas to your brunch. In addition to the great food and champagne, you can also enjoy live jazz every Sunday.

Ramos House Cafe is about as charming a place as you'll find in Orange County, and brunch here is done right. Entrees include standards like macaroni and cheese and huevos rancheros as well as dishes like crab hash and fried chicken salad. Brunch includes your choice of a bloody mary, champagne or a mimosa. Brunch here is $40 per person, so it might be better reserved for a special occasion.

The Dock offers a prix fixe brunch for $30. In addition to latkes and the soup of the day, you can choose from first course options that include salads, steak tartar and ahi. For the second course, the options include eggs and pancakes as well as grilled prawns and Angus beef sliders. Bloody marys, mimosas and beer are available to go along with your two courses. The best part is that you can enjoy this brunch while taking in the scenery of Newport Beach.
