Overdose Reported At Heather Locklear's Home After She Was Released From Jail

THOUSAND OAKS (CBSLA) — Just hours after actress Heather Locklear was released from jail for allegedly hitting a police officer, someone at her home suffered an apparent overdose.

TMZ reported Monday night police responded to a call of an overdose at her home in Thousand Oaks.

The Ventura County Sheriff's Office confirmed a patient was taken from Locklear's neighborhood to Los Robles Medical Center.

Locklear was arrested Sunday night on suspicion of battering a police officer and emergency personnel.

The 56-year-old was arrested late Sunday night and booked early Monday morning, according to the Ventura County Sheriff's Department. She was held on $20,000 bail and is scheduled to make her first court appearance Tuesday.

According to sheriff's officials, they responded to her Thousand Oaks home Sunday night to find her heavily intoxicated and arguing with family and friends, before she attacked the deputies and later kicked a medic in the chest.

This is the second time this year the "Melrose Place" actress has been arrested. In February, Locklear was also arrested on suspicion for domestic violence and battering a police officer. Just last week, she was hospitalized for a psychiatric evaluation.

Locklear had been suicidal, going so far as to look for a gun, audio of the dispatch call released by TMZ indicated.
