LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — “You think about guys who you really are drawn to, that you really cheer for, Lamar Odom is at the top of the list,” said Lakers legend and current Los Angeles Dodgers co-owner Magic Johnson.
Johnson opened up about his good friend while at the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles Builders Ball in Beverly Hills on Wednesday night.
“Our game was similar. Big man that can handle the ball, make things happen, so then when he got with the Lakers, we became really good friends,” Johnson said. “He came to me and asked me a lot of great questions about investigating, about everyday life.”
“Of course,” he added “knowing both him and Khloe at the time, cause we talked about that too.”
Taylor Armstrong, a former star of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” also attended Wednesday night’s event in Beverly Hills and talked about struggling with personal demons while on a reality television show.

“It’s very stressful even when the show comes on the air and you see what’s happening and what people are saying about you, that you didn’t really know was happening at the time,” Armstrong said.
While much of Odom’s life has played out on television, players say it’s a shock he’s fallen this far.
Odom remained hospitalized Wednesday at the Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center in Las Vegas, one day after being found with blood coming out of his nose and mouth at a brothel in Nevada, according to sheriff’s officials.
