LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The lawyer for Michael Egan — the 31-year-old actor who says “X-Men” director Bryan Singer and at least three other entertainment executives sexually abused him when he was an underage teen — says he has another client claiming to have been sexually molested by Singer and another exec.
Egan’s attorney, Jeffrey Herman, said he will hold a Monday afternoon press conference at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills to reveal some of his new allegations.READ MORE: Judge Orders Paul Flores, His Father, To Stand Trial For Murder In Kristin Smart Disappearance
His new client is known as John Doe 117 in court papers filed Saturday in the US District Court Central District of California.
“I am proud to give this brave young man a voice,” Herman wrote.
The lawsuit was filed against Singer and executive Gary Goddard who was also named by Egan.
Among other charges, Doe alleges when he was 14 (in 2003), Singer and Goddard both sexually assaulted him in the UK.
When he was 15, Doe alleges that Goddard got him to send nude pictures of himself and that he also engaged in sexual sessions with him via web cams.
Doe alleges when he was 16, Goddard was in London and plied him with alcohol before sodomizing him.
The plaintiff also alleges that Goddard and Singer fondled, groped and sexually abused him in a hotel suite at a “Superman” after party. Doe also alleged when he resisted Goddard, the exec produced a “large, musclebound man” to smack him around.
Alan Grodin and Paul Gaspari, lawyers from the firm Weintraub Tobin –representing Gary Goddard — issued the following statement on Sunday:
“It is a sad indictment on society that when once spurious claims making false, serious and highly damaging allegations have been made – especially where compensation is sought – that other similar claims may follow.READ MORE: OC Business Owner Angela Mirabella Among Several Arrested In $6.1M Student Loan Scam
The allegations made against Mr. Goddard are vehemently denied and will be vigorously defended at any trial of these matters and Mr. Goddard is entirely confident that he will be fully vindicated,” the lawyers wrote.
Singer’s attorney, Marty Singer (no relation) called the latest allegations about Bryan Singer “totally untrue.”
The Daily Beast also quoted lawyer Singer as saying, “Mr. Herman’s desperation has led him to fabricate these new anonymous accusations against Mr. Singer, which we will prove to be completely false.”
Marty Singer added, “We intend to seek sanctions against Mr. Herman for his reckless, unethical behavior.”
