'X-Men' Director's Accuser Names 3 Other Executives Involved In Alleged Hollywood Sex Ring

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The attorney for the man accusing "X-Men" director Bryan Singer of sexually abusing him as a teenager filed a lawsuit Monday naming three additional Hollywood executives allegedly a part of a sex ring.

Jeff Herman, a nationally recognized advocate for victims of sexual abuse, filed the lawsuits on behalf of Micheal Egan III against Garth Ancier, David Neuman and Gary Goddard, Herman announced at a 2 p.m. news conference at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Egan filed a separate lawsuit against Singer last week claiming the director of the forthcoming "X-Men: Days of Future Past" forced him into sex during parties in California and Hawaii when he was 15-17 in the late 1990s.

Addressing the motives for his filings, Egan told reporters Monday: "I could sit here as a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. And yet people want to rip into this. They want to spin different situations. It doesn't make it a very pleasant thing to stand up to."

His mother, Bonnie Mound, told reporters she filed complaints with the FBI but never heard back from investigators after one interview. She said she even sent certified letters to request a response but there was no follow-up from the agency.

A FBI spokesperson told CBS2/KCAL9 investigators looked into the original case and a separate man was convicted.

At the press conference, Mound was asked why she allowed her underage son at the time to stay in homes and go on trips with the men, and why it took him two years to tell her.

"These pedophiles have knifes at their throats, stick guns in their mouths, have a bodyguard stand above their head and saying they're going to snap their neck, put them under water til they're about to drown, lock him in a safe until he can't breathe - a gun safe. Then tell me, would your teen tell you or would they be petrified?" she asked.

In last week's news conference, Egan, who is now 31, alleged Singer and the others involved in the Hollywood sex ring gave young teens alcohol and drugs and promised them roles in television shows and movies.

Singer's attorney told the Associated Press the director couldn't have sexually abused Egan because he was in Toronto working on the first X-Men movie when the alleged abuse happened in Encino and Hawaii. Singer's attorney says there are receipts to show he wasn't near Egan.

"We want to see those records. We certainly have investigated it and believe he was in Hawaii," Egan's attorney, Jeff Herman, said Monday.

An attorney for Gary Goddard meanwhile issued the following statement to KCAL9: "Gary is out of the country until later this week. We are obtaining a copy of the complaint so that we can respond in a proper manner to what appears to be allegations that are without merit. Once we have seen the complaint we will respond as appropriate."

David Neuman responded to the allegations via Twitter.

"Hey everyone: obviously I have to be talking to and through lawyers, but I just want everyone to know right now that the disgusting allegations made against me are COMPLETELY FALSE. Also very shocking in that they don't just stretch the truth, they are whole-cloth lies with zero basis in reality or truth. Sickening, and very evil, for anyone to lie like that, let alone in a legal document," he wrote in a series of posts.

Louise Ann Fernandez, a lawyer for Garth Ancier, on Tuesday vehemently denied allegations made against her client.

"All of the allegations made by the plaintiff against Garth Ancier are demonstrably untrue, and we are confident the courts will agree when the evidence is presented. As just one of many examples, Mr. Ancier has never even visited the estate in Hawaii where the plaintiff claims to have encountered him. Mr. Ancier is grateful to his friends, family and colleagues for their support," Fernandez said.

"X-Men: Days of Future Past" is set for release May 23. It's the fifth film in the franchise.
