'Hangover 3' Filming Closes Portion Of Busy OC Freeway

COSTA MESA (CBSLA.com) — Filming of the Warner Bros. movie "Hangover 3" has closed a portion of a major freeway in Orange County for part of the day.

The closure impacting the southbound side of the Corona del Mar (73) Freeway between the San Diego (405) Freeway and the Costa Mesa (55) Freeway went into effect at 5 a.m. Saturday.

It will be lifted around 1:30 p.m.

On Sunday, the southbound side will again be closed from the 55 Freeway interchange to Jamboree Road from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Northbound lanes of the freeway will be closed from Jamboree Road to Campus Drive from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

Farther south -- where 73 Freeway becomes a toll road -- Warner Bros. is expected to pay the San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor $20,000 for use of the road, in addition to, as much as $5,000 to cover the loss.
