As always there are more things to do in LA this week than there is time in which to do them. Selecting which events to highlight was also tough as there is never a day without an event taking place. However, there are a couple of not-to-be-missed events like Batman LIVE and the Orange County Brew Ha Ha that just had to be featured. Check them out!

Grandparents Day Activities

Sunday, September 9 is National Grandparents Day, a day to honor our grandparents, to celebrate family and to help children become aware of all the valuable information and insight grandparents have to offer. This is the perfect day to take your grandchildren for a nature walk at Tree People on Coldwater Canyon to teach them the importance of environmentalism. Or plan a day at Echo Park where you can have a picnic, play catch, tell stories or take a paddle boat out on the water. If its still too hot out this weekend there is plenty to do indoors. The California Science Center is a terrific learning environment offering ocean exhibits with sea life and vegetation, space science, weather science, mechanics and so much more. Find an area that you as a grandparent know a lot about and impress your grandkids with your knowledge of that topic. Want to inspire them with a little Biblical insight, schedule a visit to Noah's Ark at the Skirball Museum and share with them the story of the animals boarding the ship two by two as they explore the rainmaker machine and create fun crafts. There is so much to do in LA with your grandchildren, make every day and every opportunity a learning experience.
