Three minutes after your flight takes off at about 3000 feet, you will jump out of the plane over the California coastline. Once in the air you will be able to see the entire Los Angeles skyline and the coast from Santa Barbara to Mexico. If you are a first time skydiver it is recommended to fly tandem, although flyers also have the option of an accelerated free fall. You can book your trip in advance online or over the phone. Flyers must be 18 years or older and under 200 pounds. It is recommended to book your flight at least 48 hours in advance and arrive one hour early for paperwork and instructional class. Come ready for the thrill of your life wearing comfortable pants or jeans. Wear closed toes shoes, and it is recommended not to wear boots.

Thrill seekers of all ages can experience skydiving inside of a large wind tunnel, right in the center of The Universal City Walk. Indoor skydiving is available for beginners, experienced or younger skydivers. iFly is not a simulator, but an actual wind tunnel. You will be flying mid-air inside of a large tunnel. No experience is needed, just a love for speed! With the packages, flyers will get a training session, use of all the flight gear, hands-on assistance and a flight certificate. All flights are one minute long. There are photos and DVD's available for purchase.

You can emerge your love for speed into the beauty of nature, on a zip line. Navitat Canopy Adventures is just 75 miles from Downtown Los Angeles. It is located on a 300 acre guest ranch in Wrightwood. The ranch has 10 zip lines (200-1500 feet), 3 large tree rappelling experiences, 4 suspended sky bridges and professionally trained instructors. While visiting the ranch you will also get insights on the environment and local history from the instructors. This epic adventure is the perfect day trip. Tours are limited to a maximum of 8 people in a group. Tours can last from 3.5-4 hours depending on the size of the group. Riders must weigh between 90-250 pounds, be in good health and able to walk at least one mile.

Six Flags is the best place to enjoy speed while on roller coasters. This park has some of the fastest, tallest, heart-pumping roller coasters in Southern California. Superman the ride will take you over 100 feet high while at speeds of 60mph. Batman the ride will take you over 2,700 feet at speeds of 50mph. Parents with children under 54" can request the ride operators to give them a "thrill swap". With a thrill swap pass, parents can take turns enjoying the rides. Six Flags also has a large children's play area with multiple rides for young thrill seekers.

Have a love for speed and water? Head to Marina Del Rey Boat Rentals and rent a jet ski for the day. With the rental of a jet ski you will have use to life jackets, fuel and instructions. Both full and spring wetsuits are available for rental at an additional charge. After renting your Jet Ski you can launch directly from their large private dock straight into the ocean. There is also the famous Doheny Beach nearby to enjoy some quality family time or just soak up some sun. Reservations can be made over the phone or online. Operators must be 16 years or older and passengers can be any age. You are required participate in a pre-launch safety training session and leave a security deposit. The Jet Ski's can accompany 1-3 passengers at a time making this a great family activity.
