The 8th Annual Downtown Halloween Kids Festival will take place Oct. 31 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. live at the Grand Hope Park located at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. The program will include live theater performances featuring Halloween puppets. Other activities include face painting, crafts and bouncy houses to play in. Costumes are required for children to attend. Adults can dress in costumes as an option.

The Philharmonic meets Halloween at Walt Disney Hall on Oct. 31. The film screening of Paramount Pictures classic silent horror movie, "Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde," at the popular venue. "Absolutely Halloween: A Magical, Mysterious, Musical" is a theatrical play set to launch during Halloween season. The play is schedule to run from Oct. 10 through Oct. 31 at the Santa Monica Playhouse. Attendees are encouraged to wear a Halloween costume for the opportunity to receive two for one tickets on a future show.
