"Da Vinci - The Genius" provides a special insight into Leonardo Da Vinci's explorations and is an outing the entire family will enjoy. Take a journey back in time and learn about how Da Vinci used science, art, math, innovation and philosophy to help him during his adventures all over the world. You will not only learn about the history of Da Vinci, but you will also get to examine the disciplines he used during his legendary travels. "Faux Real" showcases many objects from everyday existence and alters how many of those items are viewed. Using humor and transformation of typical items such as food and home furnishings, this artistic illustration will provoke greater thought and interpretation concerning how these products are developed. "Faux Real" may change the way you look at normal objects and adjust what is perceived as mundane into interesting and thought provoking. Take a visual journey with the artists of "Faux Real" and let your imagination run wild.

Laguna Art Museum will be decorated like never before when showcasing this special exhibit. Tanya Aguiñiga and her team will be transforming part of the museum into a colorful ocean environment. All of the art will be handmade and will represent ocean life including coral reefs, barnacles and kelp. Additionally, not only will the visual element of this environment be incredible, but the tactile portion of the exhibit will also be intriguing. The artwork will be developed with textures to help bring the scenery to life. You won't want to miss this special illustration of the sea.

Highlighting the work of the late Beatriz da Costa, who died of breast cancer at the young age of 38, "Expose; Beatriz Da Costa" examines the irony of creatures being forced to give up life in order to advance the cure for cancer among humans. Beatriz da Costa brings attention to the mice that are harmed while conducting cancer research. She tells the story of her struggle while undergoing cancer therapy and draws a parallel to the difficulties the mice are experiencing simultaneously. If you are interested in exploring social ethics in conjunction with the advancement of medicine, be sure to check out this exhibit.

Celebrate the artistic culture along the Pacific at the "2013 California - Pacific Triennial" exhibit. California has strongly been influenced by its prime location along the Pacific Ocean, which is often illustrated in artwork. Rejoice in not only art created by Californians, but also marvel at the innovative works developed by artists in countries throughout the Pacific. Some of the artists that will be showcasing their work include John Bankston, Brice Bischoff, Fernando Bryce, Masaya Chiba, Tiffany Chung, Hugo Crosthwaite and Gabriel de la Mora.
