Everyone likes to feel like they're in on a secret. When you find a cool, hidden gem, you're torn on whether you should tell your friends about it or keep it to yourself. If you go to any one of these places, you'll find a good selection of libations in a place that seems like a real discovery. Sure, you might have to do a little searching to find these places, but it will be worth it.

Anaheim, CA 92805

The Blind Rabbit is such a secret that it doesn't have a listed street address or phone number. On the front page of the bar's website, you'll see the coordinates where you can find this place. Before you find it, you should be aware of some of the rules of the place — including a dress code. All of the rules are listed on the menu that you'll find on the website. This speakeasy has some great cocktails and food like duck confit mac and cheese. You're limited to 90 minutes here, but you'll enjoy those minutes enough to return.

If you're going to have a secret bar anywhere in Orange County, Mission Viejo is the place. No one expects to find a bar there, especially one as cool as this. Since it's tucked away in a shopping center and the name of the bar does not face the street, it's easy to pass without even knowing it. However, once inside you will find a good selection of whiskeys and some craft cocktails that will make you a regular. This place also prides itself on food that is farm-to-fork. This place is definitely worth finding.

You wouldn't necessarily think of something right by the 405 as being secret or hidden. However, Bacchus is exactly that — tucked in the corner of a shopping center right off the freeway. When you do find this place, you'll find more than enough reasons to return. The wine selection is as fantastic as you'd expect from a place named for the god of wine. If you're enjoying some wine here, you'll want some of the great cheeses to go with it. The beer selection is good too, with a variety of local beers as well as great European brews.

Even once you've arrived at the shopping center where The BrewHouse is located, you have to do a little searching to find this place that is at the rear and facing the freeway. The beer selection here is great as is the board that displays all the draft beers available. The digital board not only lists all the beers, but also the alcohol content and the type of glass in which it is served. It also has bottles of beer to go, which is good if you want something better than what you can find at your local grocery store.
