Delta Variant Fueling Rise In Coronavirus Cases In LA County
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — Coronavirus cases in Los Angeles County continued to rise headed into the height of the holiday weekend.
On Saturday, Los Angeles County reported 644 new cases of COVID-19 and seven deaths.
Health officials say the increase is being fueled by the more contagious Delta variant.
With four million LA residents still unvaccinated, officials say there is enough of a risk for the Delta variant to pose a "significant threat."
