Vandenberg Air Force Base Renames To Align With US Space Force
LOMPOC (CBSLA) — Vandenberg is dropping the Air Force for the Space Force.
The Vandenberg Air Force Base was renamed Friday as the Vandenberg Space Force Base during a ceremony on the Parade Field.
During the ceremony, the 30th Space Wing was redesignated to Space Launch Delta 30.
The new names align the force with the U.S. Space Force initiative that began under former President Trump.
