LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — Another Los Angeles Police Department officer has tested positive for coronavirus.

The officer, who was exhibiting symptoms earlier this week while working in the Central Division, marks the third case within the department. The individual was sent home after a supervisor became aware, according to a tweet on Saturday from the LAPD.

“The Department has since disinfected all of the individual’s workspaces and any common areas within Central Division,” the LAPD said. “We have also identified anyone who may have come in contact with the employee and directed them to a contract healthcare provider for evaluation.”
