LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) –Nearly 50 love birds renewed their wedding vows Sunday during World Marriage Day masses at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Downtown Los Angeles.

Archbishop Jose H. Gomez led the ceremony.

A couple that’s been married for almost 72 years dished on their secrets to a long-lasting love.

They said the first thing is love followed by trust.

At the end of the mass, participating couples received a commemorative certificate.

World Marriage Day is celebrated the second Sunday of February each year.

It honors the loyalty, sacrifice and joy of married life.
