Crash Into Parked Van Kills Man In South LA
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — A 29-year-old man died Friday after his car crashed into a parked van and nearly went into a home in South LA.
The crash happened in the 9300 block of Western Avenue, near 93rd Place, at about 12:15 a.m. and left the car hanging off a sidewalk with dark skid marks in the street behind it. The impact of the crash forced the driver into the passenger's seat.
The driver was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity was not released.
The investigation into the crash continues, but police say it may have been the result of street racing.
