Standoff In Panorama City Ends After Stolen Car Suspect Hides Under Vehicle

PANORAMA CITY (CBSLA) --A suspect who was holed up for hours under a vehicle he allegedly stole in Panorama City has given up, police said.

The incident started with a pursuit. It ended in the 8500 block of Tobias Avenue, at Cedros.

At the end of the pursuit, the suspect got out of the vehicle and went underneath the car.

He eventually surrendered to SWAT officers.

Initial reports said the suspect was armed. It was unclear if a weapon was recovered.
