Word of Mouth
Crafted with a love for food, animals and the environment, Word of Mouth Truck is a 100% plant-based food truck that serves comfort food to the streets of LA. Created by Staci Stewart and Chris Chavez in 2017 after noticing a hole in the market for vegans at public events in Los Angeles, their menu features house-made snacks, sandwiches and sweets. Some of their most popular items are their Mac and Cheese Bites, Fried Chick’n Sandwich, and Western Cheeseburger. The truck travels around Los Angeles weekly, and the schedule can be found here or via social media.
Cena Vegan began serving customers in June of 2016 in Highland Park serving vegans, vegetarians and those seeking healthier lifestyles with less or no meat, healthy and delicious Mexican food. The company serves 100% vegan street tacos, burritos and nacho boats with truly authentic Latin American flavors using their own plant-based meats with flavors including: carne asada, pollo asado, al pastor and gluten-free barbacoa. Regular locations include: Highland Park on Tuesdays and Fridays, and Smorgasburg in Downtown LA on Sunday, where their menu also includes two vegan breakfast burritos. Plant Food for People
Through the Plant Food for People family’s dedication to veganism, they are changing the perception on vegan fast food to create a buzz that reaches young, conscious eaters, inspiring them to share, learn and grow with their families. The truck started serving vegan street tacos at the Saturday night Art Walk in 2011 and now have a food trailer located in Highland Park and travel across LA, find the truck here. Along with tortas, mulitas, nachos, and slow cooked organic pinto beans, their jackfruit carnitas taco is their most popular item and is topped with any one of their freshly made salsas and coleslaw
Food Art by Lauren came to life on December 6, 2017 as a part of a vision to lifelong vision Lauren Von Der Pool has had since she was a 16 year-old girl growing up in the inner city of Washington D.C. Inspired to change the world one meal at a time, Lauren’s passion for starting her empire came from the knowledge that starting a business selling raw pies and tarts in front of Howard University was her way out of the murder capital of the USA. From Oscars caterer, to touring with Serena Williams as her personal chef, Lauren has brought her plant-based fare to Los Angeles serving most days on the corner of Sunset and Vine 1:30pm-8pm. Fans and newcomers line up for fan favorites which include: the jerk fried shrimp sandwich, shrimp n gritz, caribbean soul plate and more.
Green Truck has been serving #farmtotable local organic food to customers since 2006. With the philosophy of a healthy environment is essential to healthy living, their kitchen is solar powered, packaging is recyclable and the vegetable oil used for cooking is used to power their food trucks the next day. Serving a seasonal menu, staples include their mother trucker vegan burger and super-food salad bowl or wrap. Locations are subject to change, but you can find the truck at 10100 Venice Blvd and many Truck Stop locations.
Amazebowls began with their first food truck in LA in 2013 and has since grown to two locations, one in DTLA’s Arts District and one the Venice Boardwalk, along with their original food truck. Serving fresh and inventive wholesome bowls, smoothies and other superfood treats while never compromising on texture and taste, they have become infamous for their coconut amazebowl. Founder and chief falasopher of Falasophy Rashad Moumneh, set out to provide an interpretation of exciting cravable street food using the freshest ingredients possible. Sage Plant Based Bistro
Sage Plant Based Bistro started their business in 2011 and diversified to include food trucks in 2014. What began with a single brick and mortar restaurant in Echo Park has since expanded to Culver City and most recently Old Town Pasadena. Serving American/Mexican fusion cuisine, the truck serves a large selection of appetizers, salads, bowls, Mexican fair and drinks, their most popular item is the Buffalo Cauliflower Wings. The Sage food truck is not only available for private events but can be seen at most local major festivals and vegan events up and down the West Coast.
