Best New Smorgasburg LA Vendors For 2018

Thanks to the nearly year-round ideal weather, Angelenos love to play and most importantly eat outside. Since June 2016, Smorgasburg LA has curated over 70 top food, beverage and shopping vendors that highlight what's next in LA. Enjoy shopping, DJs, great bites and a beer garden while you stroll through stalls with other fellow foodies and explore what this great city has to offer. These are the best new vendors for 2018.

After a short stint as part of the event's Ice Cream Alley this past summer, Eddie Huang's Baohuas will be joining Smorgasburg as a permanent vendor, serving up their unique take on buns, plus yang rou chuan (spicy cumin lamb skewers) that you can only get at Smorgasburg. Eddie and Evan Huang bring bao fries, boiled peanuts and Taiwanese sodas originating in NYC to LA.

Big Mozz launched at Smorgasburg in Brooklyn, NY, where they serve their award-winning Mozz Sticks to thousands of hungry New Yorkers every weekend. Although they originally joined Smorgasburg LA with its launch in 2016, they took a break in 2017 and are now back this year better than ever.

Burritos La Palma is another vendor that launched with the event in 2016 and are coming back serving burritos, quesadillas, tortas and more. A specialty of Jerez, Zacatecas, these slender burritos featuring birria, chicharrones, and more, are stuffed inside their own house made flour tortillas.

Daddy's Chicken Shack is a brand new southern fried chicken sandwich concept from chef Pace Webb serving the best fried chicken sandwich west of the Mississippi. Webb is one of the most sought after chefs on the Los Angeles food scene thanks to her renowned monthly underground, invite-only Supper Club with Taste of Pace.

This popular soba shop at Fig & 7th has created a special menu just for Smorgasburg. Building upon their myriad of toppings and side dishes blending flavors from Japan in Los Angeles, get their house made soba noodles or ramen, in "shakers" with a variety of toppings.

Made from a natural sourdough fermentation using non-gmo and organic heritage grains from the Tehachapi Grain, their pita takes four days to cold rise. A fan favorite popup vendor during Smorgasburg LA's Ice Cream Alley, Sweet N' Hollow returns on a weekly basis serving up Eastern European inspired chimney cakes stuffed with ice cream. George and Sevana bring techniques from Slovenia in serving their dessert-tastic chimney cakes.
