Covina Pony League Champs Welcomed Home

COVINA (CBSLA.com) — Baseball players returning home from Pennsylvania were welcomed back to Covina as champions.

Parents and fans gathered at Hollenbeck Park in Covina Thursday night to celebrate its team, which won the Pony League World Series in a final game against South Korea.

The 3-1 victory Wednesday night was the first championship for Covina since 1999, and a fifth title for California since 2000.
