PORTER RANCH (CBSLA.com) — A bear was killed Thursday as it crossed the 118 Freeway in Porter Ranch.

CBS2’s Kara Finnstrom reported the crash unfolded as the bear was crossing from one side of the 10-lane freeway to the other.

A truck struck the bear, which was then hit by another vehicle.

CHP officers believe the bear was at least a few years old.

Neither of the drivers sustained injuries in the crash.
