Car Catches Fire After Plowing Through Gate On 215 Freeway, Landing In Wash

COLTON (CBSLA.com) — A fiery crash killed a driver in San Bernardino County, authorities said.

The deadly crash unfolded around 4 a.m. Saturday on the northbound 215 Freeway right before the off-ramp to Washington Street in Colton.

The fire department says the driver crashed through a gate on the freeway and landed in a wash

That's where the car caught fire.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

The identity of the driver has not been released.
