Best Black Wednesday Bars In Orange County

Need an excuse to party? Black Wednesday is perfect for such a joyous activity since this particular pre-Thanksgiving holiday means work isn't scheduled the following day for most everyone -- unless, of course, you're in charge of making the turkey. For the rest of us, the only job there is to do is to find the perfect venue for this annual and extremely uplifting occasion. No worries. Five of the best bars in Orange County in which to do up Black Wednesday right are listed below.

Mutt Lynch's

Newport Beach, CA 92663

The 2 a.m. last call at this jumping joint self-described as "a house of libations" will come all too soon on Black Wednesday so go early for your fill of draft beer (there are more than three dozen on tap), all kinds of sliders, fries and quesadillas and a near ocean front location that can't be beat. Around since 1976, this is most decidedly the place in Newport Beach to celebrate during the times of the year when partying is on your agenda.

All kinds of characters from all walks of life frequent this small Costa Mesa hang-out that's big on having fun, with switched on DJs kicking the action up a notch each time a new disc spins. Some liken this particular place to airline lounges of yore partially due to the chance to mingle with the masses while winding down via carefully crafted cocktails sipped in a sentimental spot that is sure to become your regular if you are just going there for the first time on Black Wednesday 2016.

The Cave Sports Bar
628 W. Orangewood Ave.
Anaheim, CA 92802
(714) 740-0490
www.facebook.com/

For a very friendly and somewhat secret spot in which to share some spirits and perhaps a chance to watch a game with your compadres, choose this nifty sports bar in Anaheim. Although the low-key joint doesn't look like much from the outside (it's located in a nondescript mini mall), the inside is jumping with all kinds of activities and enticing libations, most importantly an impressive selection of craft beers. Or, if you're looking for something fancy to fill your needs while watching football, playing a game of dominoes or simply conversing with a new friend (there are no strangers here), try the Cinnamon Toast Crunch drink. It gets raves, as does The Cave in general. Bottoms up!
