UCLA Police Release Sketch Of Carjacking, Kidnapping Suspect

WESTWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Police Thursday sought the public's help to locate a carjacking suspect who kidnapped an individual from the University of California, Los Angeles campus.

According to campus police, the incident unfolded around 4:30 p.m. Monday near the Center for Health Sciences building.

Detectives described the suspect as a Caucasian or Hispanic man who stands 5-foot-8 tall, and has light brown hair, a trimmed mustache and a goatee.

The 30-year-old man was last seen wearing a dark colored T-shirt with dark colored shorts and a messenger bag.

He fled from the scene in a 2007 Subaru Impreza that has a California license plate that reads "6ATF802."

Police said the victim was held against their will for several hours before being released.

No injuries were reported.
