Speed Weed Agrees To Shut Down Marijuana Delivery Service

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — City Attorney Mike Feuer has slammed the brakes on Speed Weed.

Feuer's office announced Friday that they have secured the shutdown of Speed Weed, a marijuana delivery and distribution business, for violating voter-approved Proposition D.

Cosmic Mind, the company behind Speed Weed, agreed to shutter their operations in the city of Los Angeles effective June 6.

"This is another successful step in our sustained effort to uphold the voters' will under Proposition D," Feuer said in a statement.

Proposition D was passed by voters in May 2013 to further regulate medical marijuana businesses in the city.
