App Of The Week: Gas Delivery

Everyone loves their cars, but no one likes to go to the gas station. If only you could wake up in the morning or walk out of work and your tank was magically topped off...

Well guess what? There's an app for that!

It's called Purple – and it couldn't be easier to use. Download the app from the App Store or Google Play, create an account with your basic info including a credit card number for payment. Add the make, model and color of your vehicle and you're all set up! Just hit request gas and the app will pinpoint your location and dispatch a driver

If you're on a tight budget, purple may not be for you. They do tack on an extra cost per gallon. As of this morning, you're looking about .20 cents more a gallon than the average price in LA, according to AAA. The service charge depends on how fast you need a fill up. Purple's drivers can be at your car within one hour for $5.99 or within 3 hours for $3.99.

You don't need to be with your car for the service. Just make sure your gas tank door is open and you're good to go.

Purple is available to many parts of LA and Orange County – and only between 7:30am and 10:30pm
