LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Screens outside Staples Center are already swirling with images of No. 24.
They’re even calling Wednesday “Mamba Day,” after Kobe Bryant’s nickname.
Michael Lujan was born and raised in Los Angeles, has been a Lakers fan for life and wished he had a ticket for Wednesday’s game.
If you’re hoping to get a ticket, it won’t be cheap, and despite a lackluster season, the average price for a ticket on the secondary market is just over $2,000.
In fact, the Lakers have issued a fraud alert, warning fans to only purchase tickets through their exchange or reputable brokers and cautioned against dangers of buying on the secondary market.
And advice from the Los Angeles police? Don’t go to the arena Wednesday without a legitimate ticket.
