Officials said the bodies were discovered on Thursday around 10:30 am in the 13500 block of Lanning Drive.

Norwalk Station deputies responded to the location to check on the welfare of the residents. Upon their arrival, deputies were met by a close family friend who said she hadn’t seen the couple for several days.

The friend supplied deputies with a key to the house, at which time they made entry.

Deputies entered the location and found the husband lying on a bed, with a gunshot wound to the upper torso. A shotgun was recovered near the husband’s body. The gunshot wound appears to be self-inflicted.
