2 Detained Following Barricade Situation At Santa Clarita Home
SANTA CLARITA (CBSLA.com) — Two people were detained Thursday after barricading themselves inside of a Santa Clarita residence.
Shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday, deputies were sent to a home located in the 19600 block of Newhouse Street for report of shots fired, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Upon their arrival, authorities learned the shooter retreated inside of the home. Additional shots were heard from within the house.
At one point, two people exited the residence and they were subsequently detained.
Authorities said they are waiting to make a safe entry into the home to determine if there is a third person inside.
The weapon has not yet been recovered.
No evacuations or injuries were reported.
