FLORENCE (CBSLA.com) — An adult man was killed Wednesday during a deputy-involved shooting in the city of Florence.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the shooting unfolded around 4:30 a.m. in the area of 64th Street and Holmes Avenue.

Paramedics pronounced the suspect dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.

No deputies were injured in the shooting.
