Police Hold Son For Fatally Stabbing 49-Year-Old Father In NoHo
NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Officials in North Hollywood Sunday identified the 49-year-old North Hollywood father they said was fatally stabbed by his son.
The son is behind bars.
Authorities said the victim was Willie Warren, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office.
The stabbing was reported about 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the 5700 block of Fair Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
A fight between the victim and the unidentified suspect -- said to be in his mid-20s -- escalated to a knifing, Officer Mike Lopez of the LAPD's Media Relations Section said.
The dad was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.
