Police Hunt Female Acquaintance Of Fatal NoHo Stabbing Victim, 74

NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com)  —  Authorities are looking for the 20-something acquaintance of a 74-year-old man who was fatally stabbed in his North Hollywood home Wednesday.

Officers went to the 4900 block of Vineland Avenue about 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, in response to a call of a possible suicide. Upon arrival, police found the victim, Robert Caldwell, who had been stabbed "multiple times," according to the LAPD.

Investigators believe the woman was an acquaintance of the man, and are looking into the nature of their relationship.

The victim had an extensive record of felony arrests, a detective said.

A detailed description of the woman was not made available.
