LAKE ELSINORE (CBSLA.com)  —  Authorities are hoping the public can lead them to a missing at-risk 83-year-old woman.

Donna Jean Ransdell was last seen -- and reportedly disoriented -- around 7:30 this morning. Prior to this morning, she was last seen Monday evening near her home in Lake Elsinore.

Ransdell suffers from dementia. The missing woman is a white, 5 foot 3 inches tall and 120 pounds. She has gray hair, green eyes, wearing unknown-type clothing.

Officers learned Ransdell left her home in a red 2007 Ford Fusion, with a California license plate of 6AQX132.

Around  7:30 a.m. Thursday detectives learned Ransdell had been seen on Summit Avenue in Fontana where she purchased some food, appeared disoriented and asked for directions to Lake Elsinore. A Silver Alert was requested by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, and issued by the California Highway Patrol.

The Lake Elsinore Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating Ransdell. If you have seen her, please call the Riverside County Sheriff's Department at (951) 776-1099.
