WRIGHTWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Ski resorts this holiday weekend are doing great business due to fresh snow, authorities said.

The temperatures were freezing and the wind made it feel even colder. But the very cold weather only meant more people were willing to hit the slopes.

“I thought snowboarding would be fun,” said one young man, “they said it was just like a skateboard and I know how to ride that.”
