3 Home Invasion Robbery Suspects Wanted In Mar Vista

MAR VISTA (CBSLA.com) — Police sought the public's help Wednesday to locate three home invasion robbery suspects wanted in Mar Vista.

The robbery occurred around 2:30 a.m. at an apartment located in the 3500 block of South Centinela Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Three masked suspects -- who were armed with a sledge hammer and a crow bar -- entered the residence and tied up two men with duct tape before ransacking each room.

According to police, one of the victims was punched by a suspect. It remains unclear if paramedics transported the victim for treatment.

The three men then fled from the scene in a bronze four-door Acura TLS.

A preliminary investigation revealed both victims are believed to be in their 20s. One of the men lived at the residence and the other was visiting.

Detectives have not yet recovered the weapons at the scene.

Police did not clarify what was stolen from the apartment.

The investigation is ongoing.
