Makers Of Bacon Salt Introduce Bacon-Scented Underwear

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — In Southern California, where the latest gadgets and electric vehicles abound, bacon-scented underwear could the one thing you can gift to the person who has everything.

J&D's Foods – the makers of Bacon Salt and known for odd offerings such as bacon lip balm and bacon soda – introduced the meat-scented underpants for both men and women Tuesday.

The underpants, touted as moisture-wicking garments with "scent-emission technology stolen from NASA," are said to smell of everyone's favorite breakfast meat through multiple washings and wearings up to six months – depending, of course, on the wearer's own aroma, according to J&D's Foods.

The company does advise that J&D's Bacon Scented Underwear is not recommended for mail carriers, zookeepers, veterinarians, dog catchers and walkers and circus performers, especially lion tamers.

Owners of large dogs were also advised not to fall asleep in the product, and large firearms were recommended for hikers in forests where bears are known to roam.

Instead, consider going whole hog and saving these bacon-scented underpants for Long Beach's Bacon Festival next year.
