'Dinating' Combines Dining And Charitable Giving Into One Experience

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Donating has never tasted so good.

Local Angelenos are now engaging in the concept of "dinating," which is simply the idea of dining and donating at the same time.

At select locations across Los Angeles, "Dinators" can pay around $40 for a three-course meal that includes a drink and a donation.

"I just love dining out, [dinating] is a way to continue doing that and know I'm feeding a family of four," Alicia Rosenblatt said.

A portion of every meal purchased at restaurants participiating in the "dinating" expierience goes to feed a family of four for an entire day.

"$10,000 donation can produce 70,000 meals, which would be enough for 3,000 families to receive a weeks worth of food," Fred Summer said.
