Placentia Father, 41, Confesses To Sexually Molesting His Daughter From Age 3-9, Police Say

PLACENTIA (CBSLA.com) — Placentia police have arrested a 41-year-0ld man on suspicion of molestation involving his own child.

Police said the child's mother took the couple's 11-year-old daughter to the station in September to report that the girl's biological father had repeatedly molested her from the age of 2 until she was 9.

Detectives launched an immediate investigation.

Thursday, around 7:15 a.m., Placentia police arrested Amado Rios-Arciga in the 800 block of West La Jolla Street.

Upon being interviewed, Rios-Arciga allegedly confessed to committing multiple sexual acts with his daughter from the age of 3 until she was 9. All of the acts occurred in the family's home.

Rios-Arciga was later booked into Orange County Jail on charges of continuous sexual abuse of a child, sexual intercourse with a child under 10, oral copulation with a child under 10, penetration by a foreign object, unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, aggravated sexual assault of a minor and incest.

Bail was set at $1 million.
