Man Sought In Connection With Assault At UCLA

WESTWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Police sought the public's help Friday to locate a man suspected in an attack that took place at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, the suspect picked up a metal chair and struck a man with it while making threats and using racial slurs inside the Ackerman Student Union.

Paramedics treated the victim for minor lacerations at the scene.

Detectives described the suspect as a Caucasian man believed to be around 40-years-old who has gray stubble, is heavy set with a large stomach and stands 5-foot-10 tall.

He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, khaki shorts and a black backpack.

Officers said the victim is not affiliated with the university.
