Santa Clarita Man Found Dead In Fresno County Was Last Seen Alive In MacArthur Park

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Sheriff's officials asked for the public's help Friday for information in the murder of a Santa Clarita man who was last seen in MacArthur Park the day of his death.

Hector Lemus, 37, was found shot to death on the side of a road near Interstate 5 outside the town of Coalinga on July 21, Fresno County Sheriff's officials said.

Lemus was last seen alive in MacArthur Park at noon that day, and homicide investigators are looking for information about who might have associated with him that day or who he was with when he left the park.

Anyone with information about Lemus can call Valley Crime Stoppers at (888) 498-7867. Tips are confidential and could lead to a reward of up to $1,000.
