LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Bobby Brown spoke publicly for the first time since the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown, his daughter with the late Whitney Houston.

In an interview with the talk show “The Real”, Brown said he thinks things would have turned out differently for Bobbi Kristina if he’d been with her in the days before she was found unresponsive.

The 22-year-old was discovered face-down in the bathtub of her Georgia home at the end of January and died in hospice care in July.

Brown says he prayed and hoped for months that Bobbi Kristina would survive. He says his fondest memory of her was her smile.
