Suspect Fatally Shot By Ontario Police Officer

ONTARIO (CBSLA.com) — Police on Saturday were investigating the scene where an Ontario police officer fatally shot a suspect.

The Ontario Police Department said at about 4 p.m. on Saturday, an officer responded to a domestic dispute call on the 400 block of East Philadelphia Street.

The police department said the officer, who was alone, was confronted by a man with a metal pipe, prompting the officer to fatally shoot the man. Witnesses said they heard three shots.

The Ontario Police Department said the officer involved in the shooting was wearing a body camera and was not injured.

The suspect's identity has not been released.
