Male Pedestrian Killed By Metrolink Train In Pacoima

PACOIMA (CBSLA.com) — A pedestrian has been fatally struck by a Metrolink train in Pacoima, authorities said Monday.

The crash in the 13200 block of Van Nuys Boulevard was reported just after 7 a.m., according Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The fatally injured person was described only as a male, according to the coroner's office.

According to Metrolink, the train was Antelope Valley Line 201, en route to Lancaster. Trains en route to Los Angeles will hold in Newhall, trains bound for Lancaster will hold at Sun Valley, and alternate transportation was being arranged, Metrolink officials said.
