HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Detectives sought the public’s help on Friday to locate a man who was caught on camera stealing a vehicle from a home in Orange County.

Just before 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 7, surveillance cameras captured a suspicious man located in the 6000 block of Gas Light Drive, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.

Officers said the suspect entered the victim’s home after just committing a theft at a CVS store located at Goldenwest Street and McFadden Avenue.

The man proceeded to steal a purse and car keys before driving away in the victim’s vehicle that was parked in the garage.
