PACOIMA (CBSLA.com) — It took firefighters less than 30 minutes to extinguish a blaze that erupted at an apartment building in Pacoima, authorities said.

The fire broke out Wednesday afternoon at the building in the 12700 block of W. Van Nuys Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The LAFD says it took 27 firefighters 24 minutes to declare a knockdown.

The cause of the fire nor a damage estimate weren’t immediately available.
