18-Year-Old Man Gravely Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle In Oxnard

OXNARD (CBSLA.com) — An Oxnard man remained hospitalized in grave condition on Monday after he was struck by a vehicle.

Around 7 p.m. on Sunday, officers were sent to the 300 block of North G Street for report of a person hit by a vehicle, according to the Oxnard Police Department.

"When officers arrived they located the victim, 18-year-old Bryan Ramirez, laying the in the street with significant injuries," said Sgt. Alex Arnett. "Witnesses reported to police that a grey sedan was seen leaving the area directly after Ramirez was found in the roadway."

Paramedics transported Ramirez to the Ventura County Medical Center in grave condition.

At this time, he remains in the Intensive Care Unit.

Detectives have not released a description of possible suspects.

The investigation is ongoing as detectives are still reviewing evidence to try to determine how the incident occurred.
