LA HABRA (CBSLA.com) — Police are investigating who planted a hidden camera in a public bathroom at a fast-food restaurant.

The camera was discovered Friday at a Del Taco restaurant, 751 S. Beach Blvd., La Habra police Sgt. Jose Quirarte said.

Earlier today, police circulated images of three men seen in video footage, calling them persons of interest, Quirarte said. Investigators later determined the images were of people who found the device and accidentally recorded themselves as they were trying to examine it, La Habra police spokeswoman Cindy Knapp said.

Video of a heavyset Latino man and a woman was also recovered, and they are both considered victims.

Del Taco officials said none of their employees were seen on the footage retrieved from the camera, he said.
